Russ Flowers owns and operates three busy transmission repair shops; two are in Colorado Springs and one is in Fort Collins, Colorado. He started his first shop in 1975. By 1986, he purchased his first DOS based computer system. In 2000, to catch up with new technology and be Y2K compatible, Russ searched for a new window based system.
After four months and losing over $15,000 on the new system, which never properly functioned and no support was available, Russ wanted a system that worked and a software partner for the long run. He found both in R.O. Writer.
With the previous software, Russ Flowers could not monitor or take full control of his business at all his shop locations. He installed R.O. Writer in February of 2001 and is very impressed with all the software features, especially the multi store capability of R.O. Writer. R.O. Writer’s central office allows him to manage the business more efficiently and less time-consuming. Russ also wanted a system that could streamline his accounting process, especially with three stores. The accounting interface in combination with multi-store functions enables his accountant at the main office to be current daily on all the bookwork within QuickBooks. His Service Writers like the easiness to prepare repair orders; and Russ Flowers likes to be in control of the part prices from his desk.
Russ credits R.O. Writer and Urs Meier for the advanced software and outstanding technical support. Since R.O. Writer was installed, his operation has been running smoothly with no daily hassle.
